Make the Secret Sauce
- In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
Caramelize the Onions
3. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a skillet over medium-low heat.
4. Add sliced onions and cook slowly, stirring often, for 15–20 minutes until golden and caramelized. Remove and set aside.
Cook the Patties
5. Season ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Form into 4 thin patties.
6. Cook patties in a hot skillet over medium-high heat for 3–4 minutes per side until done.
Assemble & Grill
7. Butter one side of each bread slice.
