🍳 How to Make Pancake Sausages
1. Cook the sausages
- Heat a pan with a little oil.
- Cook sausages until browned and fully cooked.
- Let them cool slightly.
(If making “on-a-stick,” insert wooden skewers now.)
2. Make the pancake batter
- In a bowl, mix:
flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. - In another bowl, whisk:
buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla. - Combine wet + dry ingredients.

3. Coat the sausages

A) Pan-cooked (easier)
- Add a spoonful of pancake batter onto a greased pan.
- Place a cooked sausage on top.
- Add another spoonful of batter to cover the sausage.
- Cook on medium heat until golden on both sides.
B) Deep-fried (like corn dogs)
- Pour batter into a tall cup.
- Dip each sausage (on a stick) into the batter to fully coat.
- Fry in hot oil (350°F / 175°C) until golden brown.
