🍳 Ingredients
Meat Layer

500 g minced beef or chicken

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp oil

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

1 tsp paprika or chili powder

½ tsp cumin powder

½ tsp dried oregano (optional)

2 tbsp tomato paste (optional)
Potato Layer

4–5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced

½ tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper
Creamy Layer

1 cup fresh cream or milk
-
1 egg
-
1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
👩🍳 Instructions
1. Prepare the Meat

Heat oil in a pan.

Add onion and sauté until soft.

Add garlic and minced meat; cook until browned.

Season with salt, pepper, paprika, cumin, oregano, and tomato paste.

Cook until mixture is thick and dry. Set aside.
2. Prepare the Cream Mixture
-
In a bowl, whisk together cream (or milk), egg, and half of the cheese.
3. Assemble the Casserole
-
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
-
Grease a baking dish.
-
Layer half of the potatoes evenly at the bottom.
-
Spread the minced meat mixture over the potatoes.
-
Add the remaining potato slices on top.
-
Pour cream mixture evenly over the layers.
-
Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
4. Bake

Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove foil and bake another 15–25 minutes, until potatoes are tender and top is golden.
5. Rest & Serve

Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
