Cheesy Garlic Chicken Wraps
These flavorful wraps are filled with seasoned chicken, melty cheese, and a creamy garlic sauce—perfect for a quick lunch or easy dinner.
Ingredients
For the Chicken & Seasoning:
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into thin strips or small cubes
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- Salt and black pepper to taste
For the Garlic Cream Sauce:
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
For Assembly:
- 4 large flour tortillas (burrito-size)
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack or cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- ½ cup diced tomatoes
- Optional add-ins: sliced avocado, cooked bacon, sautéed onions/peppers, jalapeños, black beans, corn
Instructions
- Cook the Chicken:
- Season chicken strips with garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook 5–7 minutes, until golden and cooked through. Remove from heat.
- Make the Garlic Sauce:
- In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, sour cream, minced garlic, lemon juice, parsley, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Assemble the Wraps:
- Warm tortillas briefly in a dry skillet or microwave (about 10 seconds) to make them pliable.
- Spread about 1 tbsp of the garlic sauce down the center of each tortilla.
- Layer with cooked chicken, shredded cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and any optional add-ins.
- Drizzle with a little extra garlic sauce if desired.
- Fold & Serve:
- Fold the sides of the tortilla inward, then roll tightly from the bottom to enclose the filling.
- Slice in half diagonally and serve immediately.
